About JoAnn Gibson, Ph.D.

Dr. JoAnn Gibson has a long history as a healer and a teacher. She began her journey in nursing education, while the mother of two young children. After receiving an R.N. she worked in psychiatric hospital settings, primarily as an instructor to staff and professional nursing students. JoAnn then expanded her field of practice to include corporate consulting where she specialized in a variety of human resource development programs, including: interpersonal communication skills, assertiveness training, problem solving, team building, stress management, smoking cessation, and wellness promotion. Later she returned to graduate school and earned the Ph.D. in health psychology. The emphasis of her doctoral work was on the relationship of body, mind and spirit. During graduate school she also studied Pathwork, a method of transpersonal psychotherapy that works with the whole person.

After completing her Ph.D., Dr. Gibson completed the long process of becoming a Pathwork Helper. She currently maintains a private practice in Transpersonal Psychotherapy on the East coast and has a nationally-based practice as a Lifescripting™ coach. Dr. Gibson wants you to know: "Lifescripting™ is the result of 30 years of working with people to help them become healthier, happier and more productive.
